DESCRIPTION:Registration for the Fall 2026 PSAT/NMSQT® is open August 11–August 31\, 2026\, at 11:59 p.m. \n  \nImportant Dates and Information \n\nRegistration: Aug. 11–31\, 2026\nCost: $18\nTest Date: Oct. 28\, 2026\nRISD Students: Testing will take place at your high school campus.\n\nWhy Should I Take the PSAT/NMSQT? \nThe PSAT/NMSQT is an opportunity for students to practice for the SAT\, identify areas for improvement and set academic goals for the future. \nFor juniors\, the PSAT/NMSQT is also the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program. Students who earn qualifying scores may be recognized as Commended Students or Semifinalists and may ultimately be eligible for National Merit Scholarships. \nWhile freshmen and sophomores are not eligible for National Merit recognition based on their scores\, taking the PSAT/NMSQT earlier can provide valuable practice and help students prepare for their junior-year test. \nHow to Register RISD Students \nRegister and pay online \nFree PSAT Test Preparation \nAfter registration closes on Aug. 31\, students will receive additional information about free PSAT test preparation courses and materials. \nStudents can also get a head start using these free resources: \n\nPSAT/SAT Test Prep with Khan Academy\nCollege Board PSAT/NMSQT Preparation Resources\nPSAT/NMSQT Student Guide

DESCRIPTION:Berkner High School invites all students and parents to our upcoming Open House on August 31st from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. \nThis is a flexible\, “come and go” event designed to give families a chance connect with teachers\, and get ready for a successful school year ahead. \nAdditionally\, we will be kicking off the evening with a PTA Meeting at 5:30 PM in the library. We encourage everyone to drop by\, get involved\, and support our school community. We look forward to seeing you there!
