Education Code 11.253(h)<br \/><br \/>The Site-based decision making committee supports the campus principal in the development, implementation and monitoring of the annual campus improvement plan.<br \/><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-1a89478 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"1a89478\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-aaa534d\" data-id=\"aaa534d\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1038e54 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"1038e54\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Purpose of Site-Based Decision Making Committees<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-96e0475 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"96e0475\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-0649dd7\" data-id=\"0649dd7\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f7678cc elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f7678cc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Site-based decision making is a process for decentralizing decisions to improve the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">educational outcomes at every school campus through a collaborative effort by which <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">principals, teachers, campus staff, students, district staff, parents, and community <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">representatives assess educational outcomes of all students, determine goals and strategies, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and ensure that strategies are implemented and adjusted to improve student <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">achievement.<br \/><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The expected outcome of a site-based decision-making committee is improved <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">student achievement as a result of:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> effective district and campus planning;<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> increased community involvement in the school improvement process;<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> clearly established accountability objectives for all student groups;<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> improved flow of communication and information;<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> collaborative decision making; The function of the SBDM is to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">collaborate and advise the campus principal in establishing campus goals and plans for <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">improvement. The committee is responsible for the following:<\/span><\/p><ol><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Campus Goals and Improvement Plans &#8211; the committee works in partnership with <\/span>the Principal to plan annual goals and improvement plans by conducting a campus needs assessment and analyzing performance data.<\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Campus Improvement Plan &#8211; the committee works in partnership with the Principal <\/span>to review, revise, and develop the campus improvement plan. Education Code 11.253(c)<\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Campus Operations and Functions &#8211; the SBDM committee shall be involved in the <\/span>decisions in the areas of: Education Code 11.251(d)<ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> campus planning;<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> budget;<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> curriculum;<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> staffing patterns;<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> staff development;
