A huge congratulations to Aidan Renedo on his outstanding win at the State Fair! Aidan earned 1st place in sculpture for his incredible ceramic artwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you’re visiting the fair, be sure to head over to the Cultural Arts Exhibit to see his winning piece in person. Beyond his sculpting talents, Aidan showed off his skills as a budding chemist by formulating and mixing custom glazes for this piece\u2014achieving a rich grey tone, which is famously difficult to pull off in ceramics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Creating glaze from scratch is a technical challenge, but putting your artwork out there for the world to see takes even more courage. We couldn’t be prouder of Aidan’s hard work, bravery, and artistic talent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
