As a lifelong educator, I am passionate about creating a positive, student-centered environment where every child and staff member feels supported, challenged, and empowered to reach their fullest potential. I have proudly served my whole career in Richardson ISD, beginning as a Special Education teacher and department chair before spending the past eight years as Assistant Principal at Richardson West Junior High Arts and Technology Magnet. During that time, I had the privilege of working with many Dover students as they entered junior high, and I am thrilled to now support them from the very beginning of their educational journey. I believe that success happens when expectations are high, relationships are strong, and every student has the support they need to grow. My husband, Scott, and I have two children, Charlee, who will be in fifth grade, and Cason, who is excited to begin kindergarten this year. I look forward to partnering with our students, staff, and families to make the 2026\u20132027 school year a wonderful one. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Woman\u2019s University, a Master of Education in Bilingual Education with a specialization in Gifted and Talented Education from Southern Methodist University, my administrative certification from The University of Texas at Arlington, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership K\u201312 from Southern Methodist University.<\/div><div data-ogsc=\"black\" data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">\u00a0<\/div><div data-ogsc=\"black\">I have been an educator since 1999, serving students and families in Dallas ISD, Fort Worth ISD, and now Richardson ISD. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about building strong relationships, supporting teachers, and creating learning environments where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.<\/div><div data-ogsc=\"black\">\u00a0<\/div><div data-ogsc=\"black\">Outside of school, I am the proud mother of two sons, Richard Cal-El and Bruce Wayne, who inspire my commitment to education, leadership, and lifelong learning every day.<\/div><div data-ogsc=\"black\">\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"tdfocus-1784060193488\" data-ogsc=\"black\">I am honored to be part of the Dover Elementary family and look forward to working alongside our students, staff, and families to make this school year a successful and memorable one. Austin State University, and our daughter, Haylee, is a freshman at Ouachita Baptist University.
