I’m DeMarcus Goree-Watkins, and I have proudly served as an administrator at Forest Lane Academy for the past 10 years. In that time, I\u2019ve witnessed our campus grow into a thriving center of excellence where students are challenged, supported, and celebrated. Assistant Principal Rebecca Herrera\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Dr. Herrera has worked in the district since 2014 and started at FLA in 2018. She received her bachelor\u2019s from the University of St. Thomas in Houston. She then went on to complete a dual M.Ed at Dallas Baptist University. She completed her Doctorate of Education at Vanderbilt University with a focus in Leadership and Learning in Organizations. Her professional experience has allowed her the opportunity to be a classroom teacher and instructional coach before entering the role of assistant principal. Dr. Herrera believes in equity, excellence, and empowerment for all and is grateful to serve the FLA community. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside with her husband, two sons, and puppy!<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Assistant Principal Jennifer Kim<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Mrs. Kim has been a part of Richardson ISD since 2007 and has been a part of the Forest Lane Academy community since 2013. She received her bachelor\u2019s and master\u2019s degree from Trinity University in San Antonio and completed her admin certification courses at the University of Texas in Arlington. She has taught 3rd grade in a 50\/50 bilingual setting, worked as a campus math specialist, and as an instructional coach. She also attended Richardson ISD from Kinder through 12<\/span>th<\/sup>\u00a0grade in the Berkner High School feeder pattern.\u00a0 Mrs. Kim grew up in an immigrant household which taught her to value education as an opportunity that opens doors for the future. She is committed to and passionate about equity and providing a high-quality education for all. Outside of school, Mrs. Kim enjoys quality family time, going to the park, or taking weekend trips with her two daughters and husband.<\/p>
