I grew up attending RISD schools: Forestridge Elementary, Liberty Junior High, and graduated from Berkner High School. Go Rams! My love for RISD started with my greatest mentor, my mom. She spent 28 wonderful years\u00a0teaching at Forestridge paving the way for my own passion for serving students and families.<\/div><div data-ogsc=\"black\" data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">\u00a0<\/div><p><span data-ogsc=\"black\">After high school, I attended Texas Tech University where I earned my Bachelor\u2019s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Mathematics. I spent 12 incredible years as a classroom teacher and Campus Math Specialist at Forestridge. I went on to earn a Master\u2019s degree in School Counseling from Lamar University and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Texas Tech University. My leadership journey in RISD has continued at several campuses across the district. Most recently, I served seven incredibly fulfilling years as the Principal of Yale Elementary. Returning home to Liberty is the ultimate full-circle moment for me.<\/span><\/p><p><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(33, 33, 33)\">At home, family is everything. My husband (also a Berkner grad) and I are the proud parents of three sons, all of whom have grown up in RISD schools. In RISD all students are provided with opportunities that prepare them for future success. My name is\u00a0Keith\u00a0Garcia, and I am beyond excited to be part of your child\u2019s educational journey.<\/span><\/p><p><span data-ogsc=\"black\">This year marks my 22nd year in education, including 18 years serving at the middle school level. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to serve in leadership roles such as Dean of Students, Athletic Coordinator, and Department Chair. I have also taught Science, Social Studies, and Physical Education, experiences that have helped me develop a strong understanding of instructional practices that support and educate the whole child.<\/span><\/p><p><span data-ogsc=\"black\">I am deeply committed to the Liberty Junior High community and look forward to partnering with students, staff, and families to ensure the success of every student.
