This exciting visit gave our future students a sneak peek at what awaits them in their upcoming junior high journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Participating Elementary Schools<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We were delighted to host students from the following elementary schools:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Jess Harben Elementary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Richland Elementary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Forest Ridge Elementary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>O. Henry Elementary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Audelia Creek Elementary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A Warm Welcome and Dazzling Performances<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event kicked off with an enthusiastic greeting from our administrative team, setting a positive tone for the visit. The real showstopper, however, was the electrifying performance by our new K-pop dance team. Their energy and talent left our young visitors in awe and gave them a taste of the diverse extracurricular activities available at Liberty JH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Exploring Fine Arts and Building Connections<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The magic continued as our 6th grade guests immersed themselves in the world of Fine Arts. They were treated to captivating performances by our talented Orchestra, Band, and Choir. The melodious sounds filling our halls created an unforgettable experience, showcasing the rich artistic opportunities that await them at Liberty JH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Discovering Engaging Electives<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our visiting 6th graders had the exciting opportunity to explore the diverse range of electives offered at Liberty Junior High. Mr. Navarrette introduced his innovative eSports class, as well as the cutting-edge A\/V and Computer Science courses. These programs not only spark interest but also develop crucial technological skills for the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Young provided valuable insights into the AVID program, highlighting its numerous advantages for student development. These electives play a vital role in fostering skills and interests that prepare students for future success, both in their academic journey and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A Meaningful Conclusion: Preparing for the Future<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The visit concluded on a high note with an inspiring session led by our AVID director, Josh Eason. He engaged the students in a thought-provoking discussion about essential life skills, emphasizing the importance of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Financial literacy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Critical thinking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Effective communication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emotional intelligence<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Eason highlighted how these skills would be crucial in making real-world connections throughout their secondary school career and beyond. To symbolize their commitment to developing these vital abilities, the 6th graders had the opportunity to sign a poster \u2013 a tangible reminder of their aspirations and the exciting journey ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we bid farewell to our visitors from all five elementary schools, we couldn&#8217;t help but feel inspired by the connections made and the enthusiasm shown by our future Liberty JH students. This event not only gave them a glimpse of campus life but also reinforced the importance of applying classroom learning to real-world situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We can&#8217;t wait to welcome these bright young minds to our Liberty JH family next year.
