From early exploration to advanced computational thinking, students engage in meaningful learning that connects creativity with real-world application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Kindergarten students<\/strong> are exploring design and spatial reasoning through <strong>3D printing with 3Doodlers<\/strong>, turning imagination into tangible creations while learning foundational engineering concepts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>First graders<\/strong> are diving into <strong>LEGO Robotics<\/strong>, where they build and program robots to develop collaboration, sequencing, and early computational thinking skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Second grade students<\/strong> are connecting innovation to empathy by combining <strong>3D printing with accessibility<\/strong>, designing Braille models as part of a research study focused on real-world impact.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Third and sixth grade students<\/strong> are beginning spring units centered on <strong>Creativity and Innovation with Emerging Technologies<\/strong>, constructing robots for our Magnet Showcase and transitioning into computational thinking as their projects evolve.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Fourth and fifth graders<\/strong> are applying <strong>design thinking and 3D printing<\/strong> to solve authentic problems, using emerging technologies to prototype solutions, test ideas, and refine their designs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">MST Magnet Elementary is a <strong>Pre-K\u20136 STEM Engineering Magnet campus<\/strong> that welcomes kindergarten through sixth-grade students from across Richardson ISD. As an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/education\/k12\/apple-distinguished-schools\/\"><strong>Apple Distinguished School<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>AVID Showcase School<\/strong>, and a district leader in STEM innovation, MST provides hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences that empower students to think critically, collaborate effectively, and engineer solutions for the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Families interested in MST can apply for the 2026-27 school year through February 28, 2026.
