Biography:<\/b><\/p>

 <\/b>I am delighted to introduce myself as the new Principal at Mark Twain Elementary.  With a background spanning 28 years in education, I am dedicated to fostering a thriving learning community and empowering students and teachers to meet or exceed their academic growth goals. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span>Throughout my career, I\u2019ve had the privilege of teaching 1<\/span>st<\/sup>, 2<\/span>nd<\/sup>, and 6th-grade students, and I\u2019ve also served as a math specialist in Richardson ISD.  Over eight years in administration, I\u2019ve gained invaluable insights into educational leadership and the dynamics of effective teaching. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

Beyond my professional journey, I earned my degree from the University of North Texas and obtained my master\u2019s from Lamar College.  Outside of school, I cherish time with my family and friends.  My husband, Brian Erickson, is a teacher in the district, and I have two grown sons, Garrett and Wyatt.  I have a passion for the great outdoors \u2013 whether it\u2019s reading, biking, camping, or hiking.  Furthermore, I am a devoted dog mom of two senior dogs, Dudley and Bernie.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mark Twain\u2019s warm and vibrant community has already made an impression on me.  Collaboratively, we will continue the tradition of excellence, ensuring every student is embraced, valued, and empowered. <\/span><\/p>\n

Tengo el placer de presentarme como la nueva Directora de la Primaria Mark Twain. Con una trayectoria de 28 a\u00f1os en educaci\u00f3n, estoy comprometida en fomentar una comunidad de aprendizaje pr\u00f3spera y empoderar a estudiantes y docentes para que alcancen o superen sus metas de crecimiento acad\u00e9mico.<\/p>\n

A lo largo de mi carrera, he tenido el privilegio de ense\u00f1ar a estudiantes de 1er, 2do y 6to grado, adem\u00e1s de desempe\u00f1arme como especialista en matem\u00e1ticas en el Distrito Escolar Independiente de Richardson. Con m\u00e1s de ocho a\u00f1os en puestos administrativos, he adquirido conocimientos invaluables sobre liderazgo educativo y la din\u00e1mica de la ense\u00f1anza efectiva.<\/p>\n

M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de mi trayectoria profesional, obtuve mi t\u00edtulo en la Universidad de North Texas y mi maestr\u00eda en el Colegio Lamar. Fuera del \u00e1mbito escolar, valoro el tiempo que paso con mi familia y amigos. Mi esposo, Brian Erickson, es maestro en el distrito, y tengo dos hijos adultos, Garrett y Wyatt. Siento una pasi\u00f3n por la naturaleza y las actividades al aire libre, ya sea leyendo, montando bicicleta, acampando o haciendo senderismo. Adem\u00e1s, soy una madre dedicada de dos perros mayores, Dudley y Bernie.<\/p>\n
