Welcome to the website for Prestonwood Elementary! My name is Misti Lehman, Principal of Prestonwood Elementary. It is an honor to get to serve and lead this amazing campus filled with great educators and diverse and inquisitive students. My main focuses at PWE are safety, knowing our students, and ensuring high quality instruction for all. I love to greet students in the mornings, visit with them at lunch, and drop into their classes. It is truly a privilege to visit classrooms and witness the incredible things our students and teachers are doing daily, to share in the joys of student growth, and support the social and emotional development of our students. My goal is to play an active role in planning and supporting instruction by monitoring resources, time, and instructional practices to ensure that all students demonstrate academic growth. We have a great school community where students experience a safe, caring, and challenging environment. Our staff is diverse with a range of experiences to help connect and build relationships with all students, parents, and community members in order to promote overall student growth in academics and character. Assistant Principal Aaron Ward<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Mr. Ward brings more than two decades of experience in public education, including many years in Richardson ISD and in leadership roles. His career has included work as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, curriculum specialist, and campus administrator, each role deepening his commitment to helping students and educators succeed. Guided by his philosophy to \u201cwork hard, be kind,\u201d he strives to create a positive and supportive environment where all students can learn, grow, and reach their potential.<\/p>

A graduate of Baylor University\u2019s School of Education and Lamar University\u2019s Education Administration program, Mr. Ward\u2019s connection to education extends beyond his work\u2014he is also a parent of three children in RISD schools. Outside of school, he enjoys cycling, traveling, exploring the outdoors, and perfecting the art of Texas BBQ with his family.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
