We have two academic teams and one leadership team. This year\u2019s success allowed both of our academic teams to qualify and move to the second round which will be held first week of February. These Cadets did an amazing job and studied very hard and drill in lots of academic and JROTC curriculum. Both Level I and II consist of approximately 75 questions and take approximately 1 hour to complete.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Team Captain\u2019s<br \/>Samin Shahriyar<br \/>Hector Padron<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Team Study Coach<br \/>Cora Davies<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Academic Team 1 and 2 Preparedness<br \/>Two Teams consisted of:<br \/>Samin Shahriyar<br \/>Yohanna Wondimu<br \/>Ida Babane<br \/>Abdulwaheed Salawu<br \/>Riley Davidson<br \/>Maxwell Nohr<br \/>Chase White<br \/>JB Bradford<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main goal of the JROTC Academic Bowl is to prepare students for state exit\/graduation exams as well as college entrance exams, such as the SAT and ACT.<br \/>Questions cover language arts, math, science, and general knowledge in each level of the competition. The breakdown of question content in both online rounds is:<br \/>85% &#8211; core curriculum questions (math, science, language arts)<br \/>15% &#8211; General Knowledge (financial literacy, college entrance, and current events questions)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leadership Team Preparedness<br \/>Team consistid of:<br \/>Hector Padron<br \/>Pedro Romero<br \/>Mara Horton<br \/>Yuliana Cardenas<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1. Unit 1 \u2013 The Emerging Leader (All lessons in all chapters)<br \/>2. Unit 2 \u2013 The Developing Leader (All lessons in all chapters)<br \/>3. Unit 3 \u2013 The Supervising Leader (All lessons in all chapters)<br \/>4. Unit 4 \u2013 The Managing Leader (All lessons in all chapters)<br \/>5. Unit 5 \u2013 Electives \u2013 Continuing Education for Leaders (All lessons in Chapters 1,<br \/>3, and 5)<br \/>In both Level I and Level II, three questions will come from the USAA Educational<br \/>Foundation financial literacy videos.
