{"id":43478,"date":"2026-03-06T14:31:37","date_gmt":"2026-03-06T20:31:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/schools.risd.org\/RichardsonHS\/?p=43478"},"modified":"2026-03-06T14:31:37","modified_gmt":"2026-03-06T20:31:37","slug":"celebrating-richardson-high-school-artists-during-national-youth-art-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/schools.risd.org\/RichardsonHS\/celebrating-richardson-high-school-artists-during-national-youth-art-month\/","title":{"rendered":"Celebrating Richardson High School Artists During National Youth Art Month","gt_translate_keys":[{"key":"rendered","format":"text"}]},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>March is <strong>National Youth Art Month<\/strong>, a time dedicated to recognizing the creativity, skill, and hard work of student artists across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Richardson High School, we are proud to kick off our art advocacy by celebrating the incredible accomplishments of our students at the <strong>Region 10E Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE)<\/strong> hosted by the Texas Art Education Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, <strong>seven Richardson High School art teachers and more than 70 RHS art students<\/strong> participated in this prestigious <strong>UIL competition for Region 10E<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each student created original artwork and submitted a written explanation describing their <strong>ideas, materials, and artistic process<\/strong>. At the event, students also presented their work in front of <strong>professional judges<\/strong>, discussing their artistic choices and demonstrating the depth of thought behind their work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udfc6 11 Richardson High School Artists Advancing to State<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We are proud to announce that <strong>11 Richardson High School artists have qualified to advance to the state level<\/strong> of the VASE competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">State Qualifiers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ava Wysocki<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kaylynn Beighey<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oliver Marshall<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gabriela Mirabal Soriano<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alondra Salinas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Elizabeth Vargas Stoyanoff<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lucy Brunko<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Katherine Dunbar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Andrea Paucar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leslie Sanchez<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lana Wong<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Congratulations to Our Artists and Teachers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We are incredibly proud of <strong>all of our participating students and teachers<\/strong> for their dedication, creativity, and hard work.
