Dozens of students also earned prestigious <em>College Board National Recognition Awards<\/em>, spotlighting RHS&#8217;s academic depth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>DECA Emerging Leader:<\/strong> Senior Kirah Geffert earned national recognition as a recipient of the <em>2026 DECA Emerging Leader Honor Award<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Grow 2 Teach Milestones:<\/strong> We proudly celebrated our 69 Grow 2 Teach graduates\u2014seniors who completed their teaching internships and represent the future of Texas education.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>JROTC Accolades:<\/strong> The Eagle Battalion had a stellar year, hosting a combined Military Ball with Pearce and bringing home numerous national awards for academic and military leadership.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udfa8 Masterminds of the Arts &amp; Communications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As a premier Arts, Law, and Sciences Magnet, RHS talent dominated stages, screens, and galleries all year:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The Tradition of the Golden Eagle Band:<\/strong> From electrifying halftime shows to sweeping captions at marching contests, the <em>Richardson Golden Eagle Band<\/em> set a magnificent soundtrack for our fall.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A Magical Annual Musical:<\/strong> Our theatre, vocal, and instrumental departments joined forces for an unforgettable Broadway-caliber production on our home stage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>VASE State Superstars:<\/strong> Our visual artists blew us away at the <em>Regional VASE<\/em>, with multiple Eagles earning perfect scores to advance directly to State!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Orchestra Excellence:<\/strong> The RHS Orchestra delivered breathtaking performances at the <em>UIL Concert &amp; Sightreading Evaluation<\/em>, earning the highest possible marks and Sweepstakes honors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SkillsUSA State Winners:<\/strong> The RHS Communications Magnet proved their media prowess by winning a <strong>Bronze Medal<\/strong> for their newscast at the SkillsUSA State Contest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udd2c Future Health Professionals &amp; STEM<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our career and technical education (CTE) students proved they are ready to lead the future:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>HOSA State Bound:<\/strong> Members of the RHS HOSA chapter showcased their elite medical knowledge at the area competition, securing slots to compete at the State Leadership Conference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udc5f Record-Breaking Athletics &amp; Eagle Spirit<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>From the crisp fall mornings to the Texas spring heat, our athletes showed true grit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Track &amp; Field History:<\/strong> Sullivan Riley delivered a record-breaking performance, punching a well-deserved ticket straight to the State Meet after a historic, record-setting run.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>District Golf Champions:<\/strong> In a thriller of a comeback, the Lady Eagle Golf team bounced back from being down 8 strokes to capture the <em>District 7-6A Championship<\/em>!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Playoff Runs &amp; &#8220;Mudita&#8221;:<\/strong> The Richardson Softball Team (Team 29) inspired us with their deep playoff run and their culture built on <em>Mudita<\/em> and <em>FAMILY<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hoops Legacy:<\/strong> The community came together for an unforgettable night to retire the jerseys of RHS basketball legends Cason and Keaton Wallace.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83e\udd1d Community, Culture, and Campus Growth<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>What makes RHS truly special is the family that surrounds it, anchored by powerful community moments:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Building Our Future (Bond 2024):<\/strong> Thanks to the community&#8217;s support of <strong>RISD&#8217;s Bond 2024<\/strong>, we broke ground on critical facility upgrades that will benefit Eagle students for generations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Connecting with Eagle Families:<\/strong> From highly attended <em>Parent Information Nights<\/em> to community pep rallies, our RHS parents and booster clubs proved they are the backbone of our success.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udf4e Celebrating Our World-Class Staff<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Behind every great student achievement is an educator pushing them forward:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Coach Lindsey Cox<\/strong>, named the <strong>RISD Assistant Coach of the Year<\/strong> for her incredible leadership and impact on and off the volleyball court.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nataly Garza<\/strong>, honored as the RHS <strong>Red Apple New Teacher of the Year<\/strong> for her phenomenal impact in her first year with the Eagle family.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udf93 Looking Ahead: Class of 2026<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We cap off the year by celebrating our incredible seniors.
