7th Graders Explore the Building Blocks of Life

7th Grade Students In Science

Our 7th-grade scientists have been busy exploring the foundational structures of our world! This week, students tackled a “Levels of Organization” card sort, working in small, collaborative groups to piece together the hierarchy of the natural world. The challenge took them on a journey from the microscopic scale of cells to the vast complexity of entire organisms.

It wasn’t just about putting cards in the right order, it was about teamwork. Students spent time justifying their logic and explaining the “why” behind each level. This collaborative approach helps our students see the big picture of how life is structured. It’s been a week of discovery and high-level thinking in the lab!
