North Welcomes Future Vikings

We recently had the pleasure of hosting current 6th graders for their transition visits! These visits are a vital part of helping our future students feel at home and excited about the next step in their educational journey as they prepare to join us at North.

During their time on campus, students had the opportunity to learn all about the daily life of a junior high student. They met with our administration team, took comprehensive tours of the building, and spent time hearing from our elective teachers. These presentations gave the 6th graders a firsthand look at the diverse range of classes and programs they can choose from starting in the fall.

A special highlight of the visits was the leadership shown by our AVID Elite students. These student leaders acted as group leads, guiding our visitors throughout the building. They did an incredible job talking to the 6th graders, sharing helpful information about the school, and providing a student’s perspective on the Viking experience.

The picture included with this post highlights the dedicated North AVID Elite students who volunteered their time to serve as ambassadors and leaders during the event.

We loved seeing the energy and curiosity of our incoming class, and we are already looking forward to seeing them back on campus full-time!
