Electronic Communication Devices
District policy states that students are prohibited from using electronic communication devices without permission during the instructional day and lunch. This includes tutoring time. Such devices include but are not limited to: portable telephones, pagers/beepers, and other devices such as IPods, MP3 players, PDAs, etc.
Electronic devices are not to be visible and shall remain off during the instructional day. If this policy is violated, the device is to be taken up by a school official and turned in to the office. A $15 administrative fee and parent conference are necessary for the return of the phone. Please see the RISD Student/Parent Guidebook and Student Code of Conduct for further details.
