    Lunch with Students:

Parents are welcome to eat lunch in the cafeteria with their children.  Here are some guidelines for eating with your child in the Terrace Cafeteria:

    • Parents are invited to eat with students during their regularly scheduled lunch period.

    • All visitors must check in at the office using a valid state identification such as a drivers license.

    • We ask that parents eat only with their own child and may not invite other children to eat with them.

    • Parents and their children will eat at the tables on the stage.

    • Young children must stay with their parents at all times and cannot run around on the stage or in the cafeteria.

    • Lunch is a wonderful opportunity for students to socialize with their friends. Parents, please limit your lunch visits to special occassions and/or 2 times per week at most to allow your child time to socialize and visit with friends. Eating with your child often may interfere with his or her opportunities to develop independence and friendships.

    • Please remember that it is never appropriate to give food to students other than your own child.  Many children have life-threatening food allergies and giving food to children who are not your own may put those children at risk.
