    Course Verification Information:

     In FOCUS is the list of courses for Lake Highlands High School that you selected earlier this semester. Please note this is NOT your schedule, only the courses you selected. This is verification that the classes you requested were entered correctly. In order to access your course selection, please click on the Course Verification Process Video link https://bit.ly/VerifyingCourses or reference the Online Course Verification Process document attached in this email.

    If there is an error in a class selection, please fill out the Course Verification Form 2020-21 link https://bit.ly/CourseVerificationForm2020-21  All corrections must be indicated on the Course Verification Google Form by Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at 4:30pm. 

    If there are NO changes needed, please fill out the Course verification Form 2020-21 link https://bit.ly/CourseVerificationForm2020-21 by Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at 4:30pm.

    There will be no elective changes made in the fall or spring. Elective changes must be made by April 8, 2020 at 4:30pm. If you plan on taking a class in summer school that is listed in Course Request, the class will stay on your schedule until your counselor receives verification the class was taken and passed.  You may also add or drop a Pre-AP or AP class at this time.  After April 8th at 4:30pm, Pre-AP or AP classes will only be changed after the 1st three weeks is completed. This is your last opportunity to make changes; there will be no schedule changes made after April 8th.  Failure to complete the Course Verification Google Form 2020-21 will result in your counselor selecting your courses based on your graduation plan.  If you have questions, contact your current school counselor.

    NOTE: Students in the Class of 2024 ~ Due to staff and resources required to maintain the Health Science program and because interest has continued to grow, we will use random selection to place students in the Principles of Health Science course for the 2020-2021 school year.     Attendance and Other Requirements for Graduation

    1. Students must be enrolled in Richardson Independent School District the first day of a full semester immediately preceding graduation to be granted an RISD high school diploma and/or participation in graduation activities.

    2. Seniors coming from other states may graduate under the sending school's graduation requirements if approved by the sending school, only when it is impossible or impractical to meet RISD graduation requirements. These students can participate in graduation ceremonies, but will receive a diploma from the sending school. For more information, see the grade level campus counselor.

    3. Graduates must have passed all subtests of the Exit level state test in order to receive a diploma (unless exempted through the ARD Committee).

    4. It is the responsibility of the student and the parents to confer with the counselor or the principal and to know at all times how many credits the student has earned, the specific program requirements, and how many units of credit he/she needs to meet the specific requirements for graduation.
