For five years, one face has been a constant, reassuring presence in the halls of FMMS. In honor of SRO Appreciation Day<\/strong>, we\u2019re proud to spotlight Officer Q. Crenshaw<\/strong>, a dedicated professional who ensures our students have a safe environment to learn and grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officer Crenshaw is a veteran of the badge, with 9.5 years in law enforcement and 8 years with the DPD. His journey began at Prairie View A&M University<\/strong>, where he majored in Criminal Justice. The path wasn’t easy\u2014it required a degree, nine months in the academy, six months of intensive field training, and a year of probation before he became a full officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why the School Beat?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Before joining FMMS, Officer Crenshaw worked extensively with juveniles. “It felt natural to work with kids,” he says. Now, in his sixth year as an SRO, he still finds the work refreshing. “There’s always something new; it’s never the same. I enjoy meeting students from all walks of life.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Safety First: Advice for Students<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Officer Crenshaw\u2019s primary mission is protection, and his message to the student body is one of prepared reassurance:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In the times we live in, things can always happen. But just know that if they do, we are ready for it.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To keep our Chargers safe outside the building, he reminds students to stay vigilant of cars and use the “buddy system” when walking. His most important rule?
