- Bowie Elementary
Message from Principal Ash
Hello, Bowie Mustangs!
Our spring semester has taken an unexpected turn due to the state’s pandemic response. Please refer to www.risd.org/cv19 for the most up-to-date information regarding Richardson ISD and Bowie Elementary operations for the next few months.
To help streamline our communications while learning at home this spring, we have created a Bowie Website to help parents quickly and easily find important information. Please visit bit.ly/RISDBowie for the most current grade level information, campus newsletters, and at-home learning resources.
Online enrollment is open for next school year. All prospective 2020-2021 Bowie students need to be enrolled online. 2020-2021 Kindergarteners also enroll online at this time. Online enrollment is available at https://web.risd.org/enrollonline/.
At this time, all of our currently planned spring events are on hold, including the Kindergarten Preview Round Up scheduled for incoming 2020-2021 Bowie Kindergarteners. We hope to be able to reschedule soon!
I also encourage parents to sign up for the Mustang Link, which is a weekly PTA newsletter containing important information and upcoming events. When you register through our Bowie PTA website you are automatically added to the eNews. If you are not registered on our Bowie PTA site and would still like to receive the eNews, please email email@example.com with the words "add to enews" in the subject line.
A special thank you to the Bowie PTA! Due to their generous funding, all Bowie staff members are again participating in Capturing Kids Hearts training this year. CKH focuses on building relationships as a foundation for learning. Click here to learn more about Capturing Kids Hearts.
Our schoolwide theme this year is Journey to Excellence. Our positive behavior incentive program recognizes students’ positive choices as they learn and grow during their educational journey throughout the school year.
It is my privilege to serve as your Principal this school year. Please reach out to me or our Assistant Principal, Rachelle Allen, if you have a question about our school.
Thank you for your support as we Journey to Excellence this 2019-2020 school year. We hope that by staying apart now, we can be together again soon. Go Mustangs!
