The mission of the library is to teach information literacy to all students in collaboration with classroom teachers. Through inquiry-based learning, students mature as effective users of information and technology. The ACM library provides a rich body of literature and diverse materials, so that all students become lifelong learners and readers.

My background is in classroom teaching! Find me with the students programming robots to joust and throwing water balloons to solve math problems. I proudly serve as the Library & Information Technology Educator (LITE) at Arapaho Classical Magnet School (ACM). I received my Bachelor’s degree in Education from Sam Houston State University and my Master’s degree in Library & Information Science from the University of North Texas.

I am captivated by storytelling. The right story, at the right time, is a gift that empowers and inspires students of all ages. As a teacher and a librarian, I am committed to the integration of literacy and the love of reading in every content area. It is my joy to invite all students to make discoveries through creative storytelling, academic research, and collaboration with teachers.
