Principal Kristin Strickland
Hello ACM Falcons,
My name is Kristin Strickland, and I am honored to serve as the principal of Arapaho Classical Magnet. This year marks my 12th year as principal and my 24th year in education, all proudly spent in Richardson ISD. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of serving as a teacher, Math Specialist, Instructional Coach, and Assistant Principal, experiences that have shaped my passion for teaching, learning, and educational leadership.
My top priority is to cultivate a school community where strong relationships are at the heart of everything we do, every student’s individual learning needs are met, and children are empowered with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in the 21st century. I believe that connecting with, understanding, and nurturing each child are essential to creating an environment where students feel valued, challenged, and inspired to learn and grow.
Whether your family is new to Arapaho Classical Magnet or returning for another year, I want you to know that our staff is committed to supporting your child and your family every step of the way. I look forward to partnering with our incredible staff, families, and community to provide an exceptional educational experience for every student. Our partnership is essential to each child’s success, and I encourage you to reach out at any time. Together, we can ensure that Arapaho Classical Magnet continues to be a place where every child feels a sense of belonging and has the opportunity to reach their fullest potential.
Assistant Principal Nichole Johnson
I am truly honored and excited to join Arapaho Classical Magnet Elementary as your new Assistant Principal! Having had the privilege of serving alongside Ms. Strickland and this incredible team as the Area Academic Facilitator for the Richardson Learning Community, I have seen firsthand the dedication, excellence, and strong sense of community that make ACM such a special place.
I am entering my 18th year in education. I started in Frisco ISD, where I taught 1st grade, K–1st looping, and self-contained 4th grade. I also had the pleasure of serving as a Reading and Math Interventionist. In 2020, I joined Richardson ISD as an Area Academic Facilitator, partnering with campus leaders and teachers to strengthen instruction, support student achievement, and foster positive learning experiences for all students.
Building meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. I believe that when schools and families work together, students thrive both academically and personally. I am excited for the year ahead and look forward to getting to know each of you as we continue the tradition of excellence at ACM.
