Sara Orr has been awarded the Lake Highlands Exchange Club Moss Haven Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Orr has been a teacher at MHE since 2020. Mrs. Orr and her husband, John, have two boys who attended MHE and graduated from Lake Highlands High School. What makes Mrs. Orr an exceptional educator? She has true mastery of the subject matter. Her innovative teaching techniques are well-designed and differentiated to meet the needs of her students. While these attributes are undoubtedly important, they pale in comparison to the intangible qualities that define her as a true educator. Mrs. Orr possesses not only a deep understanding of her content but also an innate ability to ignite curiosity and passion in her students.
Beyond the confines of the classroom, Mrs. Orr serves as a mentor to young teachers, leads our National Beta Club, and is a guiding light for her students. She goes above and beyond, investing countless hours in nurturing not just academic excellence, but also the social and emotional well-being of those under their care.
