Apollo is extremely proud of our positive school climate, high quality instruction, and academic performance for all students. Our staff is committed to providing the best education possible for all our students, and we know a strong home/school partnership is vital for ensuring their success. All staff members at Apollo work together daily to create a safe and supportive environment which encourages every student to work to his or her full potential, provide learning experiences that build basic skills, nourish curiosity, teach problem-solving skills, and kindle a love for learning. We know that through the combined efforts of excellent teachers and the active involvement of our parents we can create an outstanding educational experience for all students. Assistant Principal | A-K - Sherry Null
Mrs. Null is serving her 25th year in education. She has 21 years of classroom experience and 5 years experience as a consultant for continuous improvement in schools. Mrs. Null began her educational career teaching 6th grade science and math at Mark Twain Elementary and then at Big Springs Elementary. She then taught 7th grade science at Apollo Junior High for 6 years before joining Lake Highlands Middle School. Mrs. Null earned her Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Texas and her Master’s Degree in Education Administration from Texas A&M, Commerce. Mrs. Null, her husband and their two daughters are all graduates of the RISD.

Assistant Principal | L-Z - Roberto Diaz
Hello! My name is Roberto Diaz, and I am honored to be part of your child’s educational journey. I was born and raised in Panama and bring more than 20 years of experience in public education, serving students and families at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Throughout my career, I have provided instructional leadership in Science, English Language Arts, Special Education, Physical Education and Health, and Performing Fine Arts.
As a bilingual educator fluent in English and Spanish, I am committed to fostering strong partnerships with all families by ensuring clear communication and meaningful collaboration. I look forward to working together to provide every student with a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where they can achieve their fullest potential.
