Backpack Bash 2026-27

The 2026-27 school year is right around the corner, and this year’s Backpack Bash is coming to a campus near you in August 2026.

Richardson ISD is committed to supporting students and families all summer long with learning opportunities, meal programs, counseling resources, and childcare options.

Ross Ferrans, who currently serves as Assistant Principal at Northrich Elementary, has been selected as the new principal of Big Springs Elementary beginning in the 2026–2027 school year.
