Dear Big Springs Community,
I am honored to serve as the principal of Big Springs Elementary and excited to be part of such a wonderful school community. Entering my 13th year in education, I have spent my entire career serving students and families in Richardson ISD.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Oklahoma Baptist University and my master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from The University of Texas at Arlington. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of serving as a third-grade teacher, fifth-grade teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and now principal of Big Springs Elementary.
I believe every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and challenged each day. My goal is to foster a positive school culture where students are inspired to learn, teachers are empowered to do their best work, and families feel welcomed as true partners in their child’s education. I am committed to building strong relationships with our students, staff, and families because I believe those connections are the foundation of a thriving school community.
My wife, Jenni, and I have been married since 2014 and live in Richardson with our two children, Grant and Gabrielle. As both an educator and an RISD parent, I understand the importance of strong school-family partnerships and the trust families place in us each day. I strive to be a visible, approachable leader who works alongside our staff and families to help every student succeed.
I am grateful to be part of the Big Springs family and look forward to continuing our tradition of excellence. Together, we will create a learning environment where every Bobcat is encouraged to grow academically, socially, and emotionally while developing a lifelong love of learning.

I am truly honored and excited to introduce myself as the new assistant principal of Big Springs Elementary School. I am grateful for the opportunity to join a campus with such a strong sense of community and commitment to students.
I am entering my 18th year in education. I began my career as a classroom teacher and team leader before joining Richardson ISD as an instructional coach at Dartmouth Elementary. Most recently, I have served as the Pre-K–12 Area Academic Facilitator for the Berkner Learning Community, partnering with campus leaders and teachers to strengthen instruction and support student success. These experiences have deepened my belief that strong relationships, high expectations, and teamwork are at the heart of great schools.
What excites me most about Big Springs is the opportunity to serve a school where students are known, supported, and encouraged to grow. I value open communication, consistency, and creating a positive environment where students and staff feel connected and empowered each day.
Outside of school, my greatest joy is my family. Being a wife and mom has shaped the way I lead with empathy, patience, and a deep understanding of the trust families place in schools every day.
I am excited for the year ahead and look forward to getting to know the students, staff, and families that make Big Springs so special. Thank you for welcoming me into the Big Springs family. I cannot wait to partner with you in supporting our students together.
