To make their 60-year anniversary extra memorable, Canyon Creek Elementary wanted to celebrate by giving back to the community in a meaningful way! Each grade had a goal to collect 60 cereal boxes to donate to the Network of Community Ministries (NETWORK) food pantry.
They far exceeded the goal, and collected over 560 boxes–wrapping up in a school-wide celebration and cereal box domino run that filled the school hallways! We’re so proud of our Cougars!
The 2025-2026 Texas Education Agency (TEA) accountability results officially released today, confirm what we’ve been working toward — RISD’s continued growth and student progress have moved the district to a B rating!
The safety of students, staff, and visitors is a top priority in RISD. We have several proactive measures in place to provide a safe and nurturing school environment that promotes student academic growth.
The Network of Community Ministries Mobile Food Market will be available at several RISD and community locations each week beginning August 17.
