Dear CCE Staff, Families, and Community,
It has been my honor and privilege to serve as the Assistant Principal and then Principal at Canyon Creek Elementary for the last five years. You all are my second family and make it easy to come to work everyday. That being said, it is with mixed emotions that I share with you that I have accepted the principal position at Parkhill Junior High in RISD.
While I know that this is the right move for me professionally, my heart aches for what I will be leaving behind. I love this school and community beyond measure, and truly want the best for each of our staff members and students. I’ve learned so much from each of you, and my time at Canyon Creek will always hold a special place in my heart.
RISD is beginning the process of identifying the next principal of Canyon Creek Elementary, which will include an opportunity for parent and staff input to create a principal profile that will be used in the selection process. More information about this process will be coming soon from Pearce Learning Community Area Superintendent Peggy Dillon.
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to work alongside you for the last five years. It has truly been an honor and a pleasure to be a part of this special school community.
