2026 STARS Teachers of the Year!

5th graders at Jess Harben Elementary have been awarded the trophy for the annual Richardson Recycles Earth Day competition.

RISD’s eight 2026 STARS (Superior Teaching Achievements in RISD Schools) teachers of the year were announced on April 20!

The golden arches usually promise a quick meal, but recently they promised something much louder: the complete and utter takeover of the local McDonald’s by the Hawk Nation.
