6th Graders Explore the Future on College Tours

6th Graders

Our 6th grade students recently took an inspiring step into the future by touring two local college campuses: Richland College and UT Dallas (UTD). For many, it was their very first time walking through lecture halls, exploring student centers, and imagining what their lives might look like in just a few years.

As an AVID campus, Jess Harben is dedicated to preparing all students for college and career readiness, and experiences like these help spark motivation and purpose. From learning about college life to asking questions about classes, sports, and scholarships, our students left motivated and dreaming big. Some even mentioned they could see themselves as future Comets or Thunderducks!
