On Friday, an event was held to dedicate a bench in front of Jess Harben ES in memory of longtime RISD educator Jennie Lewis, who passed away one year ago. The school also announced the creation of a Heart of Harben Award, to recognize students who demonstrate kindness, compassion, and support for others. Students, colleagues, and friends joined Jennie’s family at the event to remember her impact on so very many people.
