We are incredibly proud to announce that Ashley Bouras, our dedicated music teacher at JHE, was recently named a statewide finalist for H-E-B’s prestigious Music Teacher of the Year award. While she did not receive the final award, being recognized as a finalist among countless talented educators across Texas is a remarkable achievement that deserves celebration.
Mrs. Bouras has been enriching the lives of JHE students for 12 years, bringing passion, creativity, and excellence to our music program. Her commitment to music education extends far beyond the classroom walls.
Throughout her tenure at JHE, Mrs. Bouras has served as a practicum location for numerous music teachers in training, many of whom have gone on to secure teaching positions across our district. Her mentorship has helped shape the next generation of music educators, creating a lasting impact on music education in our community.
Her leadership within the music department is exemplary, as she actively participates in leadership roles and professional development training. Mrs. Bouras also generously volunteers her time and talents with local committees, musical groups, and other musical avenues, demonstrating her commitment to fostering a vibrant musical culture both within our school and the broader community.
Mrs. Bouras is truly a vital part of our students’ growth and learning. Her dedication to helping students discover and develop their musical abilities has enriched countless young lives at JHE.
