Hello! My name is Sarah Song and I am the LITE at Merriman Park. I’ve been in education since 2013 and a part of the MPE family since 2016, when I arrived as a second-grade teacher. I moved to fourth-grade as a  reading and writing teacher in 2018. While I loved my time in fourth-grade, 2022 was my first year in the library. I enjoy getting to work with all teachers and all grade levels and watch the students learn and grow each year. The library has always been my favorite classroom in the building. The library is a place for reading, writing, learning, growing, and amazing conversations. I love working with teachers to plan lessons that build on what they’re learning in the classroom.

When I’m not in the classroom, I am spending time with my husband and one-year-old son. I enjoy cooking, trying new restaurants, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and trying all of the coffee shops. On weekends, we are often found at the Downtown Farmer’s Market or any outdoor event.

We love our library volunteers! If you would like to volunteer with shelving or any library events, please let me know and I will get you set up.,

If you have any questions, please reach out. I’d love to chat!
