Dear Northlake Elementary Staff and Families,
It is with great excitement that I introduce myself as the new principal of Northlake Elementary. I am honored to join a school with a rich tradition of excellence in education and a strong commitment to community involvement. Northlake has a well-earned reputation for fostering a supportive school culture grounded in high academic expectations, and I look forward to partnering with you to continue that legacy.
I am completing my 15th year in education and have had the privilege of working with students from elementary through middle school. My passion for education began in the elementary classroom, where I taught 2nd and 4th grade. I’ve also served as a campus reading specialist and instructional coach at both elementary and secondary levels. Most recently, it has been my honor and pleasure to serve families in Lake Highlands as an assistant principal at Forest Meadow Middle School for the last 4 years. These roles have strengthened my belief in the power of relationships, high standards, and a supportive school culture.
My husband, Greg, and I are both proud Lake Highlands graduates and love raising our family in this community. We have four children: Beckett (6th grade at Lake Highlands MS), Nell and Ruby (4th and 2nd at Lake Highlands ES), and Tillie, who will start at the RISD Little Wildcats program this fall.
I am committed to being a visible, approachable leader who celebrates student growth and builds strong connections with staff and families. I look forward to learning more about Northlake and ensuring a strong start to the 2025–26 school year. I am so excited to join the Northlake family!
Sincerely,
Anna Coutant
