NWHE Principal Jenni Smith

Principal Jenni Smith

Dear Northwood Hills Families and Community,

I am thrilled to begin my third year as principal at Northwood Hills Elementary. I am stepping into my 21st year in education, all proudly served in Richardson ISD. Over the course of my career, I have worked as a classroom teacher, instructional specialist, academic facilitator, and assistant principal before having the privilege of leading as principal here at NHE.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Baylor University and my Master’s degree in School Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University. Throughout my career, my passion has remained centered on student learning, building meaningful relationships, and creating a positive school culture that empowers every member of our community.

I am immensely proud of the outstanding academic growth our students achieved last year and the continued strengthening of our school community. Building on that strong foundation, we are thrilled to be launching our new Two-Way Dual Language program this year! I am especially looking forward to supporting our young learners as they begin this exciting new educational journey.

At Northwood Hills, we deeply value our partnerships with families and community members. As we enter the 2026–2027 school year, I look forward to partnering with you as we SOAR Onward to greater heights for all of our students.

Thank you for your continued support, dedication, and partnership. It is going to be a fantastic year!
