Principal Jenni Smith
My name is Jenni Smith, and I am thrilled to begin my second year as principal at Northwood Hills Elementary. I am beginning my 20th year in education, all proudly served in Richardson ISD. Over the course of my career, I have worked as a classroom teacher, instructional specialist, academic facilitator, and assistant principal before stepping into the role of principal at NHE.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Baylor University and my master’s degree in School Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University. Throughout my career, my passion has remained centered on student learning, building meaningful relationships, and creating a positive school culture that empowers all members of our community.
Last year was filled with growth, learning, and connection—and I am so excited to continue building on that foundation as we head into a new school year. At Northwood Hills, we believe in the power of strong partnerships with families and community members, and I look forward to continuing that collaboration as we “level up” together in 2025–2026.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. It’s going to be a great year!
With gratitude,
Jenni Smith
