I am so honored to join the wonderful RISD Academy team. I know that together we can face any challenge that comes our way and accomplish great things. It is my goal to allow our learners both young and mature to provide a great light as “Each RISD Academy star shines bright!”
Bilingualism and biliteracy is one of the greatest gifts my family gave to me from a young age. This simple gift has opened many doors in my life/career. The RISD Academy community has a rich culture which supports the potential of learners who read, write, and speak more than one language. We will connect our homes and schools with a shared goal for every learner to be independent and successful. We will remind ourselves that there is power in our words. We will be proud and we will celebrate our value! “The person who speaks two languages counts as two. El que habla dos lenguas vale por dos.”
I am ready to learn the RISD Academy way. You will see me regularly before, during and after school. I want to hear from you and collaborate with you to make RISD Academy a place that our learners are proud to call their home away from home. We will focus on making every day at school focused, full of learning and memorable for our learners and families.
I bring my 18 years of experience education to RISD Academy. I began my career in my home town of El Paso, Texas. I am a proud University of Texas at El Paso graduate – Go Miners! I continued my journey when I moved to the Dallas area to attend University of Texas at Dallas. The next 17 years in education were spent as a bilingual Pre-K, Kindergarten teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal in Little Elm ISD across several campuses. Some of my greatest accomplishments include my family. My husband Christopher and children Brianna, Alexis and Avery and our growing extended family have made me a better listener and teacher. You have my promise that every decision I make for our RISD students will be made with the same care and attention I would give my own children and grandchildren.

Me siento muy honrada de unirme al maravilloso equipo de la Academia RISD. Sé que juntos podemos enfrentar cualquier reto que se nos presente y lograr grandes cosas. Es mi meta permitir que nuestros estudiantes, tanto pequeños como jóvenes, proporcionen una gran luz mientras “¡Cada estrella de la Academia RISD brilla!”
El bilingüismo y el alfabetismo en dos idiomas es uno de los mayores regalos que mi familia me dio desde una edad temprana. Este simple regalo ha abierto muchas puertas en mi vida/carrera. La comunidad de la Academia RISD tiene una rica cultura que apoya el potencial de los estudiantes que leen, escriben y hablan más de un idioma. Conectaremos nuestros hogares y escuelas con un objetivo compartido para que cada estudiante sea independiente y exitoso. Nos recordaremos a nosotros mismos que hay poder en nuestras palabras. Estoy lista para aprender a la manera de la Academia RISD. Me verás regularmente antes, durante y después de la escuela. Quiero escucharlos y colaborar con ustedes para hacer de la Academia RISD un lugar al que nuestros estudiantes estén orgullosos de llamar su hogar lejos de casa. Nos centraremos en hacer que cada día en la escuela se encuentre bien enfocado, esté lleno de aprendizaje y sea memorable para nuestros estudiantes y familias.
Traigo mis 18 años de experiencia en educación a la Academia RISD. Comencé mi carrera en mi ciudad natal de El Paso, Texas. Soy una orgullosa graduada de la Universidad de Texas en El Paso – ¡Go Miners! Continué mi carrera cuando me mudé al área de Dallas para asistir a la Universidad de Texas en Dallas. Los siguientes 17 años en la educación los pasé como maestra bilingüe de Pre-K, Kindergarten, Asistente de Director y Directora en Little Elm ISD a través de varias escuelas. Algunos de mis mayores logros incluyen a mi familia. Mi esposo Christopher y mis hijas Brianna (28), Alexis (26) y Avery (18) y nuestra creciente familia extendida me han hecho una mejor oyente y maestra. Tienen mi promesa de que cada decisión que tome para nuestros estudiantes de RISD se hará con el mismo cuidado y atención que daría a mis propios hijos/as y nietos/as.

Assistant Principal Frances Ruberte
Hi I am Mrs. Ruberté, I was born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico. All my life I have played sports and thanks to that I was very fortunate to receive a full ride scholarship to the University of Puerto Rico at Cayey to play basketball in college. I majored in accounting and after graduating I realized that there was a void in me that needed to be filled. That’s when the curiosity to teach started. I completed my alternative certification process from PR and shortly after my husband and I decided to move to Texas in 2015 to start my journey as an educator. Fast forward to 2022, I am starting my 8th year in education and for the first time serving in the role of Assistant Principal. Thanks to my background in sports, I learned that teamwork makes the dream work, it could not apply more to education. I believe that teamwork is key when it comes to raising our scholars to be their best citizens for tomorrow, no classroom teacher alone can do it. We need to work as a community that includes all parents, teachers, and students to make sure they have the best shot at it. I am here to serve and support us working together for the better of our students at The RISD Academy.
Hola soy Mrs. Ruberté, nacida y criada en Ponce, Puerto Rico. Toda mi vida tuve la oportunidad de participar en deportes y gracias a eso fui muy afortunada y recibí una beca completa para la Universidad de Puerto Rico en Cayey para jugar baloncesto. Recibí un grado en contabilidad pero luego de graduarme tenía un vacío, faltaba algo en mi vida. Ahí fue cuando la curiosidad por enseñar empezó. Complete mi certificación alterna desde PR y mi esposo y yo nos mudamos a Texas en el 2015 para comenzar la carrera. Fast forward a 2022, estaré comenzando en mi octavo año en educación y por primera vez sirviendo como asistente de directora. Gracias a mi pasado participando en deportes aprendí cuán importante es trabajar en equipo y aplica enormemente cuando se trata de educación. Necesitamos trabajar en equipo todas esas personas que tienen un rol en la educación del estudiante, padres, maestros, estudiantes y líderes para que los estudiantes tengan la mejor experiencia y oportunidad posible. Estoy aquí para servir y apoyarnos para juntos poder dar lo mejor a nuestros estudiantes de RISD Academy.

Hi RISD Academy community! My name is Allison Schindler, and I am so excited to be here. I grew up in New Orleans but have lived in Dallas for the last decade. I joined Richardson ISD in 2016 as a bilingual teacher. My career then led to becoming a math specialist and now an administrator. This is my third year as an assistant principal, and I am looking forward to being a leader at RACD. I believe that all students can achieve success when given the right opportunities and sufficient encouragement- and that is what I am here to do. I plan to enhance student experiences and be a cheerleader for each and every one of our scholars. Let’s have a great school year!
Hola comunidad de RISD Academy! Me llamo Allison Schindler y estoy muy emocionada de estar aquí. Nací en Nueva Orleans, pero he vivido en Dallas durante la última década. Me uní en RISD en 2016 como una maestra bilingüe. Después de ser una maestra, me convertí en una especialista de matemáticas y ahora soy una administradora. Este es mi tercer año como subdirectora y me alegre ser una líder en RACD. Creo que todos los estudiantes pueden alcanzar el éxito cuando se les brindan las oportunidades adecuades y el apoyo necesario, y para eso estoy aquí. Planeo mejorar las experiencias de los estudiantes y ser una animadora para cada uno de nuestros estudiantes. ¡Que tengamos un excelente año escolar!
