Westwood Junior High Class of 2023, Tyler Stead earned a perfect score on the ACT, which is achieved by less than 0.25% of students in the nation who took the test.
Nearly 1.4 million juniors have taken the ACT this school year, and only about 2,600 scored a perfect 36 in each of the four sections.
The ACT is a curriculum-based achievement exam that measures what students have learned in school. Students who earn a 36 composite score have likely mastered all of the skills and knowledge they will need to succeed in first-year college courses in the core subject areas.
