We are excited to announce the launch of the Forest Meadow Middle School Dads Club—a new, parent-led initiative for dads and father figures looking to plug into our school community, support our teachers, and show up for our students!
It is completely free to join, and you can participate as your schedule allows.
First Up: Wednesday Lunch Duty
Our first official initiative kicks off on Wednesday, October 21! We’re asking dads to step in for 30-minute shifts during lunch to help manage the cafeteria, chat with students, and support school staff.
- A Lunch (6th Grade): 11:43 AM – 12:13 PM
- B Lunch (7th Grade): 12:18 PM – 12:48 PM
- C Lunch (8th Grade): 12:53 PM – 1:23 PM
Lunch Duty Guidelines: It’s a work shift, not a lunch date—say hi to your student, then help work the room! Please eat beforehand, as outside food is not permitted.
How to Get Started in 3 Easy Steps
- Get on the List: Visit forestmeadowdads.org or scan the QR code on the flyer to register for free and receive direct updates.
- Register with RISD: Complete the standard Richardson ISD volunteer background check (approval takes a few days; links are available on the website).
- Grab a Shift: Select an available lunch period on the site that fits your schedule. You’ll receive a reminder 48 hours before your shift!
The FMMS Dads Club was started by two Forest Meadow dads with Principal Kemp’s backing. It is an independent, parent-led organization and is not operated by Richardson ISD. For questions, reach out at hello@forestmeadowdads.org.
