Principal Susan Burt

Dear Forest Meadow Families,

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! I am honored and excited to begin another incredible year as the proud principal of Forest Meadow Middle School. As we enter our second year as a full 6th–8th grade middle school, our theme this year is Charting Our Course—a reflection of our continued journey toward excellence, growth, and shared success.

At Forest Meadow, we believe every student is capable of greatness. This year, we will work together to navigate new opportunities, explore innovative learning experiences, and foster a school culture grounded in collaboration, kindness, and high expectations. Whether your student is just beginning their middle school adventure or returning for another year, we are committed to ensuring that every child feels seen, supported, and challenged.

Our theme, Charting Our Course, aligns beautifully with Richardson ISD’s districtwide focus to Dream Big. As a campus, we are committed to helping each student define their own path, pursue bold goals, and realize their potential. Through personalized learning, strong relationships, and a focus on continuous growth, we are preparing students not only for academic success but also for the journey of becoming confident, capable individuals ready to dream big and lead boldly.

As a community, your partnership is vital to our success. We encourage you to stay connected through regular communication, attend school events, join the PTA, and reach out whenever you have questions or ideas. Together, we can create an environment where all students feel a sense of belonging and pride in their school.

Thank you for trusting us with your student’s middle school experience. Let’s make this year our best one yet as we Chart Our Course and Dream Big—together!

Sincerely,

Dr. Susan Burt
