Kindergarten Roundup – May 8
To all incoming Kinder students, Kindergarten Roundup will take place Wednesday, May 8th from 5:00-6:00 PM. All incoming kinders are invited to attend with their parents. Donuts with Grownups – May 10
Join your students for Donuts with Grownups before school on Friday, May 10. We’ll meet on the front lawn by the flag pole and enjoy donuts and Dutch Bros Coffee from 7:25 to 7:50.
New Student Orientation – May 14
All new students for the 2024-2025 school year are welcome to visit CCE on May 14th! Start in the CCE cafeteria at 5:00 for a presentation, then join us for a tour of the school and your students’ classrooms at 5:30. From 6:00 to 7:00, head out to the playground for snow cones with your CCE friends from Kona Ice. Be sure to bring money for the shaved ice.
Current CCE students are invited to join us on the playground at 6:00. Come mix and mingle with our new friends!
Cougar Cubs – May 15
Incoming Kindergarten students are invited to come to CCE on May 15 and check out the gym with Coach Robertson! Come with your incoming student from 2:30 to 3:00 on May 15th for our last Cougar Cubs event before the end of the year. Career Day – May 21
We would love for you the share your expertise! We are in need of volunteers to share about their careers. Our goal is to have a wide variety of careers- some that require technical training, others that require college along with a wide variety of areas of interest. We also welcome other family members and community members to volunteer!
Our Career Day will be the morning of May 21st from 8:15-10:15. Speakers will present to different groups for 25 minutes each. 6th Grade vs Parents Volleyball Game – May 23
6th grade parents, join us in the gym at 1:30 on May 23 to take part in our annual students vs parents volleyball game. Parents are welcome to come to watch or sign up to participate. Make sure to bring money to purchase popsicles from the 5th graders!
6th Grade Graduation – May 24
Join us from 9:00 to 10:30 in the CCE cafeteria on May 24 for 6th grade graduation. Kids should dress up for the occasion, as after graduation they will participate in a parade across the school. After graduation, make sure your 6th grader has a ride to Strike & Reel in Garland for the 6th Grade Class Party at 11:15. Students will need to be picked up by 2:45.

Kindergarten Graduation – May 24
You’re invited to Kindergarten Graduation. Join us as we honor our Kindergarteners as they graduate to 1st grade! Graduation is on May 24 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm in the CCE Cafeteria. End of Year Class Parties will occur on the Kindergarten Playground after graduation.
