As a youngster growing up in south Louisiana, I always knew I’d grow up to be a teacher.  My father was a teacher and my mother worked in the Counseling Office at my school.  I went off to college at Louisiana State University to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  Just after graduation, I started my teaching career here in RISD 23 years ago at Apollo Junior High.  While teaching at Apollo, I earned a second Master’s Degree in Educational Administration.  Before landing at Dartmouth as Principal, I spent my time as a Literacy Coach, an Instructional Coach, and an Assistant Principal. 

When I’m not at school, I love spending time with my family.  My husband, 2 sons, and I spend lots of time at the baseball field.  We also enjoy watching LSU Football, LSU Baseball, and the New Orleans Saints!  We love watching movies, playing board games and playing card games! 

I absolutely love serving the students, staff, and families of Dartmouth Elementary.  I’m so very excited for what the 2026-27 school year will bring!  Our theme this year is all things under the sea!  Take a deep breath and dive in!  Together, let’s make some waves! 🌊
