Last month, students at Jess Harben laced up their sneakers and took to the field for a cause close to their hearts—the annual Slime Run!

Students from Jess Harben were invited to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at the RISD School Board meeting.

Our 6th grade students recently took an inspiring step into the future by touring two local college campuses: Richland College and UT Dallas (UTD).

RISD partners with organizations to offer a variety of recommendations and services to families over the summer months.

We are incredibly proud to announce that Ashley Bouras, our dedicated music teacher at JHE, was recently named a statewide finalist for H-E-B’s prestigious Music Teacher of the Year award.

On April 17, families residing outside of RISD boundaries may apply to attend an RISD school for the 2025-26 school year.

To enhance safety and security protocols, RISD is implementing student badges this year for all elementary students.

The district is implementing a new Richardson ISD Code of Civility this school year to set expectations for how students, parents, employees, and visitors treat and interact with each other while at school or communicating about school-related activities.
