On Thursday, our Liberty JH 8th graders embarked on an exciting journey as they participated in the “Berkner Bound” field trip! This special event was designed to help students transition smoothly into high school by providing them with essential information and firsthand experiences.
The day began with an informative session led by school counselors who discussed various pathways and schedules available to students in high school. This valuable insight allowed our students to better understand the opportunities that await them as they move forward in their academic careers.
Following the presentations, our students enjoyed a guided tour of the high school. They had the chance to explore different classrooms and facilities, getting a feel for the vibrant environment they will soon be a part of.
One of the highlights of the trip was the time spent in the STEM lab, where students interacted with their future classmates from various pathways. Engaging in hands-on activities sparked curiosity and enthusiasm, allowing the students to envision themselves thriving in high school.
As our 8th graders return to Liberty JH, they carry with them not only the knowledge gained from the field trip but also the excitement of what lies ahead. High school is just around the corner, and we are thrilled to see our students embark on this next chapter of their educational journey.
We encourage parents and guardians to discuss the experiences of the day with their children and continue fostering their excitement about high school. Together, we can support our students as they take these important steps towards their future.
Here’s to an exciting transition for our Liberty JH 8th graders! High school, here they come!
