We’re thrilled to share that Richardson ISD had a winner in the Trinity River Authority’s 2025 Art Contest! Out of more than 1,900 entries from across the Trinity River Basin, our talented students’ artwork stood out for its creativity, craftsmanship, and artistic vision.

Congratulations to our Second-Place Winner!
1st Grade – Sloane Carr, Mohawk Elementary

Sloane’s artwork earned second place in her grade level. She will receive a certificate, greeting cards, and a customized calendar featuring her winning piece to celebrate this outstanding achievement.

2026-2027 Elementary GT Testing Referral Window

RISD elementary students may test once per year to determine if they qualify for gifted/talented (GT) services. The window to refer your child/ren for testing opens September 29, 2026 and closes October 13, 2026.
