Mark Your Calendar to Celebrate the Class of 2027
We’re excited to share an update for this year’s graduation celebrations! To create the best possible experience for our graduates, families, staff and guests, RISD’s 2027 graduation ceremonies will be held June 1 and 2 at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, instead of at our RISD stadiums.
The new indoor venue gives us a comfortable, exciting setting to celebrate this incredible milestone — rain or shine! It also provides air-conditioned seating for our graduates and guests and makes parking easier, with two parking garages located right next to the Event Center.
Graduation Schedule
Tuesday, June 1
• Lake Highlands High School — 2 p.m.
• J.J. Pearce High School — 6 p.m.
Wednesday, June 2
• Berkner High School — 2 p.m.
• Richardson High School — 6 p.m.
Moving graduation indoors means we can take weather and summer heat out of the equation and keep the focus where it belongs: celebrating our graduates and all they have accomplished!
Please note that hosting this event at the Event Center incurs no additional cost to the district compared to using a district stadium.
