RISD is monitoring the weather forecast for this evening’s PHS graduation, which currently calls for a low chance of rain. In the unlikely event of prolonged moderate to severe rain, or the development of dangerous weather like thunderstorms or hail, ceremonies could be delayed up to two hours. If ceremonies are delayed, announcements will be made over loudspeakers, and a notice will be posted on the live stream through the district website at www.risd.org. If inclement weather were to cause ceremonies to be postponed to an alternate day, the PHS graduation would occur on Sunday, May 25 at 8:00 a.m. at Mustang-Eagle Stadium. Based on the current forecast, any of these scenarios are unlikely.
The stadium parking lot and gates will open at 6:30 p.m. this evening, and ceremonies will begin at 8:00 p.m. Attendees not parking at a stadium should be careful to park only in designated areas, per the City of Richardson.
