New Principal Greetings

Dear Prestonwood Elementary School Community,

It is with great pleasure and excitement that I introduce myself as the new principal of Prestonwood Elementary.  I have heard amazing things about the campus, faculty, parents, and community. I am honored for the opportunity to be part of this outstanding team and school community, and I look forward to beginning our work together to ensure success for all students.

I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with my undergraduate degree before completing my master’s degree in education administration at Lamar University. For 24 years I have been proudly serving the students, staff, and communities in Richardson ISD. I began my educational career as a classroom teacher and then instructional coach at Skyview Elementary. I served as the assistant principal for five years and principal for one year at Carolyn G. Bukhair Elementary. And for the last eight years, I have had the privilege of serving as the principal at Greenwood Hills Elementary.

When not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, John, and supporting our two daughters in their passions and interests. My oldest daughter, Zoe, is finishing her freshman year at Oklahoma City University where she is majoring in dance and entertainment business. My youngest daughter, Macki, is a sophomore at Pearce High School where she plays soccer and is in student government.

I am passionate about learning and providing students with opportunities to find their passions and gifts while preparing them for their future. I look forward to meeting and working with Prestonwood staff, students, families, and community as I transition into my new role and begin making plans for an amazing 2024-2025 school year.

My door is always open for questions, ideas, and feedback, and I’m excited to get started serving the Panther community.

Sincerely,

Misti Lehman
