Dear Prestonwood Parents and Community,
It has been my honor and privilege to serve as the principal at Prestonwood Elementary for the past thirteen years. Prestonwood Elementary is comprised of amazing students and supportive parents who are served by skilled and devoted educators. Without a doubt, our school is truly a special place for students and staff!
My time at Prestonwood Elementary has been a rewarding and special experience. I have loved working with our students, parents, and staff to create a school that is a safe, engaging, and caring place for all students. One of the things I cherish the most about Prestonwood is the strong sense of community and support for our school, it is not referred to as a “little gem of a school” for no reason! Prestonwood students, parents and staff make this school a true treasure.
After 30 years in education, I have made the difficult decision to retire. It has been a bittersweet decision, but I am ready to commit more time to my family. I have truly loved and enjoyed my time at Prestonwood Elementary and I will genuinely miss everyone who makes up our school community, as well as my many colleagues in Richardson ISD. My final day at Prestonwood Elementary will be May 31, 2024.
Again, it has been my honor to serve the Prestonwood Elementary community. I am grateful to have had the amazing opportunity to serve you for so many years.
Once a Panther, always a Panther!
With warm regards,
Pam Aitken
