Richardson Girls Soccer 2025 Bi-District Champions

Richardson girls soccer has had a very successful year. Led by 13 seniors, this team qualified for the UIL playoffs in Division 1 of 6A. The girls won the Bi-District Championship by defeating Arlington Martin HS 1-0 on Friday night (3/21). That was only the 4th time a Richardson Girls Soccer team has won a playoff game during a season since UIL soccer began over 40 years ago.

The season started out with a scrimmage victory over Prosper Rock Hill 2-1 in a pouring rain storm. The bad weather was an omen of the way weather would affect our season as our first tournament was canceled due to cold weather. After dropping games to Highland Park and Arlington High, the Eagles played one of the best teams in 5A in the Duncanville Classic and defeated Midlothian 1-0!

Tournament season gave way to District play, and the Eagles started hot winning our first two games and drawing with Nimitz. Despite outplaying Pearce for long-stretches of the game, the Eagles came up short against our northern rivals and followed that up with a hard fought loss to eventual district champs, Lake Highlands, but these Eagles were not to be deterred. They followed up those disappointments with 4 straight victories on their way to finishing 3rd in the district. That led to Friday night where the Eagles found a way to overcome the Lady Warriors and take the Golden Ball.
